【Mrefilter】The function of air filter generating set

The air filter of the generator set is an air inlet device for filtering particles and impurities in the working of a piston type generating set, which is composed of two parts, the filter element and the housing. The main requirements of the air cleaner is high filtration efficiency, low flow resistance, long time of continuous use without maintenance. When the generator is working, if the air contains dust and other impurities, will aggravate the wear parts, so it must be equipped with air filter.

Air filter is divided into inertial air filter, filter type air filter and oil bath air filter 3 kinds.
1.Inertial air filter: due to the density of particles and impurities is greater than the air density, when the particles and impurities with the air or a sharp turn, the centrifugal inertia force, can make the impurities from the air flow.
2.  Filter type air filter: guide the air flow through the metal filter or filter paper, the particles and impurities, and adhesion on the filter element.
3.  Oil bath air filter: air filter is arranged at the bottom of the oil pan, the oil will flow sharp shock, particles and separation of impurities in the oil. And viscous is stirring up oil droplets, with air flows through the filter, and adhesion in the filter on the air flows through the filter element. When further adsorption of impurities, to achieve filter the function.

Replacement cycle of air filter for generating units
The commonly used power unit, every 500 hours to replace an air filter. The standby generator set, 300 hours or 6 months to replace a filter. The usual maintenance of power generators, can remove the air filter, air gun blowing, the replacement cycle can be extended to 200 hours or three months.
Filtering requirements of air filter for generating set: the filter is not necessarily a big brand, but can not be used fake and shoddy filter.
